My top 5 favorite movies and movie quotes

5) Christmas Vacation (1989)- "We're gonna have the hap hap happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby tap danced on Danny fucking Kaye."

4) Hope Floats (1998)- "She says that beginnings are scary, endings are usually sad, but it's the middle that counts the most. Try to remember that when you find yourself at a new beginning. Just give hope a chance to float up. And it will, too..."

3) Office Space (1999)- "The thing is Bob, it's not that I'm lazy, it's that I just don't care."

2) Mean Girls (2004)- "Sorry, we only carry sizes 1, 3, and 5. You should try Sears."

1) Sweet Home Alabama (2002)- "I never fully understood that expression, but no, I am not shitting you."

So many great movies...so many awesome quotes. You could ask me my top 5 tomorrow, and it could be completely different!

Good Riddance 2012

Judging by my last blog entry....it's been a while!
There are about 18 days left of this craptastic year and I, for one, am SO psyched for 2013.  My 2012 was definitely a year that could have made big money at the box office....or been entertaining to watch on Jerry Springer.  I think my 2012 was based off of the fictional movie, "Hope Floats" and hopefully I'll find my Harry Connick, Jr. in 2013 :)
One thing that I did learn in 2012 was that I have the BEST FRIENDS EVER.  EVER. EVER. You know who you are.  I have also been reacquainted with many old friends and met some new ones.  You all know who you are too :-)
And let's not forget family.  The Ellis clan rocks.

People have called me strong and to that I'll say this:  "You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have." I'll also add this picture...because I LOVE ecards

And that ecard....is a TRUE STORY my friends.

My kids have grown since I last updated my blog.  Like grown a lot.
Lexi is in 7th grade and is involved in EVERYTHING that her big heart desires.  She plays travel softball with the Edge 2000...  a team that God sent us to. She also just made the Flashes club volleyball team.  Lexi also has some brains and is on the FTMSW Academic Team...or as we like to refer to it...the A-Team.
GO FLASHES.  GO EDGE.
Nathan turns 9 in a couple of weeks.  He is still the most brilliant, handsome, loving boy ever.  The middle child with an older sister and a younger sister, he has learned patience that will make him an amazing boyfriend/husband one day.
Izzy.  Well Izzy keeps us all on our toes.  Lexi is her best friend and she likes to beat the crap out of Nathan.  I don't even know what to say about her except that she's lucky that she is so dang gone CUTE. Here are some recent photos of the people that make my world go 'round.

Well - thanks for reading and we will see if I actually continue to blog.

Fast Forward 14 months!

So I guess I've been a little busy since last summer! I have severly neglected my blog. OOPS! We are now a week from the start of the 2010/2011 school year. That baby of mine must have kept me a little occupied the past year :)
We are still in the same home, with the same jobs and spend all of our time at the softball fields. Lexi completed her first travel season with the Indiana Irish. The team won 2 tournaments and received runner up in 4. They finished up by competing in the World Series located in Columbus, OH. Lexi and the Irish played 98 games during the past year! She will play for the 10U Indiana Extreme this season. Try outs are this weekend. Lexi is getting ready to start the 5th grade, which means a new school and a locker!
Nathan is getting ready to start the 1st grade. He also will play Fall baseball this year, which he is stoked about. Nathan loves baseball like a fat kid loves cake. Aside from baseball, Nathan has also started his modeling career. In one year, he has done a photo shoot for the Boy Scout's of America, a photo shoot for Fundex Games and a commercial for an upcoming political candidate.
Izzy has made our lives complete. She is amazing :) The girl has been to more softball and baseball games in her first 18 months of life than most "normal" people attend in their lifetime. She's the life of the party, that's for sure! One minute she can be the sweetest thing ever and the next minute she is mean as hell!

Here's a few picture from the Summer 2010....you'll see everyone has grown quite about in the past 14 months! Hopefully I keep up with my blog from now on. Thanks for reading!

The time has arrived!

Softball is in full swing...(pardon my pun). Lexi is playing on two teams. Her rec team, the Teal Tigers, is 5-1. Her all-star team, the Flashes, is 4-0. Pretty good start if you ask me! Here are some pictures from the season, so far.

Nathan's Pre-K graduation

Another school year has come and gone. Today, Nathan graduated from Pre-K at Bright Promises Preschool. He was very excited and proud of himself, as he should be! He is already worrying about Kindergarten homework! LOL. Next year, he will attend Bunker Hill with Lexi. It will be the only year any of my kids go to school together.

Izzy - 3 months!

I can't believe Izzy is 3 months old already! Aside from battling some nasty congestion/cold, she is doing great. She eats like a hoss (about 40 oz per day on a good day), she is still my little peanut. At 3 months, she weighed 11 lbs, 9 oz. Here are some recent photos:

Isabelle Carr Brower

Here is my birth story, as I remember it, all drugged up!!

Due Date: 2/13/09
Arrival Date: 2/12/09
Weight: 6 lbs, 12 oz (my smallest of the three!)
Height: 20in
Name: Isabelle
Story or Info: I was scheduled to be induced on 2/12/09. We arrived at the hospital at 10am and got taken to our room. Pitocin was started at about 11am and I was still 2cm. My Doctor came and broke my water at about 1pm... still at 2cm. Eventually I got to 3cm and got my epidural. The next time my Doctor checked me I was still at 3cm; however, just an hour and a half later I was at 6! It took me an hour to get from 6 to 7 and then my pain returned. Soon after they reloaded my epi, the nurse checked me and I was still at 7cm. My pain did not subside after about 15 minutes so my Doctor came in to check on me. She checked my cervix and I was at 9.5! It took me 15 minutes to go from 7-9.5. Game on! My doctor got ready and brought the table in. I pushed through only 2 contractions and Isabelle made her appearance about 5-8 minutes after I started pushing! My Doctor and Nurse were AWESOME. I was able to hold her on my chest for about 10 minutes before they cleaned her and weighed her. When Jeremy walked away from the "weigh station" and said "She is 6 lbs, 12 oz" I was in disbelief! She was SO tiny! After they cleaned her up, we were able to get a lot of time with her to ourselves before they took her to the nursery. Due to the fast delivery, her face was slightly bruised; however, that went away about 24 hours later.
She is absolutely perfect and we are doing great! We got released from the hospital on 2/14/09, Valentine's Day! Her brother and sister (as well as Daddy and I) are so much in love!
